There are two different installed patterns you can choose from; the irregularly shaped pieces, which are un-cut materials and the dimensionally shaped which are pre-cut into square/rectangular pavers or slabs. Therefore, flagstones can be installed in random patterns with the un-cut materials, or can be installed in uniform patterns with the pre-cut materials. Flagstone pavers can be tailored to the customer’s budget, needs and desires. Each of our projects will be done with professionalism, creativity, honesty and high quality craftsmanship. To insure our clients get the finest quality products, we hand select every single stone directly from our local paving stone suppliers. About Flagstones: Flagstones are natural stones, not man-made products. The difference between concrete or brick pavers and flagstones is the place of production: concrete and clay brick pavers are manufactured whereas flagstones are produced from natural stone deposits. The purpose of having flagstones installed is to blend in nature. Flagstones create a dynamic, classic or timeless look to any landscape garden. Flagstones are safe for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. They have a non-skid surface even when the stones are wet. Flagstones are characteristically a very dense material. It is also known to be a low-absorption type of paving material. These factors make flagstones impervious to freeze-thaw conditions. Flagstone pavers will not split or deteriorate under extreme weather conditions. The main benefit of utilizing such colors is the guarantee that the colors cast throughout the stone paver will not fade, chip or scratch off. Different types of flagstone, including quartzite, slate, limestone, travertine and bluestone, reap different colors. Flagstones are acid resistant; normally set on a base of crushed rocks and sand or they can be set straight on top of soil without the need for a base. The gaps between the stones are often filled with sand or planted with low ground covers. Although stone paving is considerably more expensive than the concrete paver alternatives, or the increasingly popular block paving, it does have a cachet that no other form of paving can offer. It has an indefinite life-span and should never need to be replaced. Using Polymeric Sand For Pavement Joints (optional): Polymeric Sand For Pavement Joints is a high-tech mix of graded sand and binder, specially formulated for the filling of narrow or wide joints when installing pavers or slabs, or when replacing existing joints. Unlike conventional sand, it stays in place and remains stable; this is why it effectively resists erosion caused by water, frost, and wind. In addition, it prevents insect infestation and inhibits weed growth. It stabilizes all horizontal surfaces and sloped work. It softens when it is wet and firms up when it dries to better resist soil movements. It helps keep the surroundings clean by preventing joint sand from getting into the house or pool.
